"God, grant me the serenity to accept the the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things that I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."
I believe it was King Solomon who said, every now and then, we need to be reminded of what we already know.
DID YOU KNOW THAT:
1. Your life has a purpose!
You were born for a reason. Make no mistake about it,there is a purpose for your life. You were born with natural abilities, talents and gifts that serve mankind. You have a passion for something...
Think about it, there is good in YOU, the kind of good that you can do all day everyday and it's as natural as breathing...everyone has a passion for something! It could be teaching, ministering, singing, motivating, helping, inspiring.
You were born to LIVE YOUR LIFE ON PURPOSE!
2. You can lead a thirsty horse to water, but you cannot make him drink!
We all have the capacity to direct and guide others toward positive change, but the decision to actually change comes from
the horse. Sometimes pressure may cause a temporary shift, but real, lasting-change starts on the inside, not from outside pressure.
Change occurs when
the horse "decides" to drink. That decision is made from a personal commitment to facing truth and conquering fear, overcoming resistance and stepping out of the comfort zone.
Know your role-- focus your efforts on guiding, building trust, motivating and inspiring, not pressuring ...and "
the horse will drink".
3. It's okay to fail - just don't quit!
Success seldom happens “suddenly." Somewhere along the way, you will fail at something. Give yourself permission to fail, learn from your mistakes and try again.
Just as you learned to ride a bike or read, you had to work at it...with repetition and consistency it took hold. Adjust your expectations, take into account short-term failures, see them as learning experiences. Give yourself the space to improve over time.
Success is yours if you don't quit!
4. Fear is False
Evidence
Appearing
Real!
Expect fear...when it appears, move through it. Every step of your journey will be filled with what I call fear bumps. Those negative "
What ifs" that pop up and stop us cold.
"What if this happens?" "What if that happens?" What if I can't?
Fear is just
the thought of a negative outcome-- it's not the real outcome, move through it and move forward. You must overcome fear and you will succeed.
5. Happiness is a choice!
Abe Lincoln said, “Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.”
You can be with money/without money, married/unmarried, with child/without child, employed/unemployed, the choice to be happy rests with you. You hold the key to happiness.
It is your choice to acknowledge your blessings, it is your choice to love fully, it is your choice to conquer your fears, it is your choice to maintain perspective, it is your choice to form good relationships, it is your choice to live a life filled with purpose.
It's the choices you make that bring happiness.
